In a standard-size version, British designer Lucy Kurrein’s deep-seated sofa harkens back to an old fashioned ideal of comfort. Elmer sits on anthracite grey powder-coated steel legs with its oversize feather cushions leavened with a dividing layer of recycled crumb foam for a comfortable feeling of softness without sinking. Made at SCP’s factory in Norfolk, England, the sofa’s frame is FSC-approved beech, jute and webbing and offers a choice of renewable upholstery materials.
